On Saturday we surprised Carrie with her "Unbirthday" party and gave her this present. I was sure she had know something was up for a few weeks becuase I have not been very good at covering my tracks, but apparently she was totally surprised.
It has been so fun to plan this trip and the excitement of the surprise, but I am glad she now knows about it. I think it is a trip she will remember and really enjoy and it is really fun to see that excitement in her eyes.
I have added Carrie as an author to the site so that if she chooses she can add some posts now and after her trip to complete the blog.
Thanks to everyone. Sorry I don't have any pictures of the surprise, I failed to check the batteries in the camera so it was dead.

This is a blog to coordinate the suprise birthday trip for Carrie to New York City. Carrie's birthday is December 26th and everyone, including Carrie is always too worn out to celebrate much, so this summer we are planning a suprise trip for her to New York City as a gift. She has wanted to go but has been trying to plan it on a very small budget and so we are trying to help her out with it.

Sorry I am a loser and didn't get a comment to Carrie earlier, but I have been out of town so it just didn't happen. Happy Birthday Carrie! You are worth every bit of a a great trip to the Big Rotten Apple and I hope you love it there. I loved living there and I wish my finances and time could have allowed me to meet you and show you around a little bit. You will have a great time- see some really good shows for me.
